Samantha epitomized what I had been dreaming about in a Borzoi for many years. Before she was two years of age she was the #1 Borzoi in Canada, repeating the feat the following year as well. She was a multiple Group winner and placer as well as a multiple specialty winner, including a Borzoi Canada specialty at the ripe old age of 13 months. Her US points came quickly and included Group 2nd at Brush Prairie, one of the largest shows in the US that year, from the BBE class. She also excelled on the coursing field and although she only produced 4 puppies, with only two surviving, those two (from Litter # 15 - Birthday) are two of my most favourite Borzoi.
